Cookie Policy — Thayne.

Cookie Policy

Effective date: 2 May 2026  ·  Last updated: 15 May 2026  ·  Version: 2.1

This Cookie Policy explains what cookies are, which cookies Thayne (a trading name of Bazema Limited, Company No. 17054726) uses on thayne.app, why we use them, and how you can control them. It should be read alongside our Privacy Policy, which explains how we handle your personal data more broadly.

If you have any questions about our use of cookies, please contact us at elliot.bazley@thayne.app.

01

What are cookies

Cookies are small text files that are placed on your device — computer, tablet, or phone — when you visit a website. They are widely used to make websites work more efficiently, remember your preferences, and provide information to site owners about how their site is being used.

Cookies are not harmful. They cannot access other files on your device, run programmes, or carry viruses. A cookie can only be read by the website that created it.

There are different kinds of cookies:

  • Session cookies — these are temporary and are deleted when you close your browser. They are used to keep you logged in or maintain settings during a single visit.
  • Persistent cookies — these remain on your device for a set period of time, or until you delete them. They are used to remember your preferences across visits.
  • First-party cookies — set directly by the website you are visiting (in this case, thayne.app).
  • Third-party cookies — set by a different domain to the website you are visiting, typically by third-party services embedded in the page such as analytics or authentication tools.

02

Types of cookies we use

We use the following categories of cookies on thayne.app:

Strictly necessary cookies

These cookies are essential for the website to function. Without them, services you have asked for — such as staying logged in to your Thayne account or navigating between pages — cannot be provided. These cookies do not collect any information about you that could be used for marketing or remembering where you have been on the internet.

Because these cookies are strictly necessary, they are placed on your device without requiring your consent under UK GDPR and the Privacy and Electronic Communications Regulations (PECR).

Functional cookies

These cookies allow the website to remember choices you make and provide enhanced, more personalised features. We use a functional cookie to store your cookie consent preference so you are not shown the consent banner on every page visit.

Analytics cookies

We do not currently use analytics cookies. If we introduce analytics tools such as Google Analytics in the future, we will update this policy and request your consent before placing any analytics cookies on your device.

Marketing cookies

We do not currently use marketing or advertising cookies. We do not serve advertisements on thayne.app and do not use cookies for targeted advertising purposes.

No advertising. Thayne does not use cookies for advertising purposes. We do not share cookie data with advertising networks or use cookies to track you across other websites.

04

Third-party cookies

Some cookies on thayne.app are set by third-party services that we use to operate and improve our website and product. These providers may set their own cookies subject to their own privacy and cookie policies.

The third-party services that may set cookies on our site include:

  • Webflow Inc. — our website hosting platform. Webflow sets technical cookies necessary for the website to function correctly. You can review Webflow's cookie and privacy practices at webflow.com/legal/privacy.
  • Memberstack Inc. — our user authentication platform. Memberstack sets cookies to manage logged-in sessions for Thayne subscribers. Their privacy policy is available at memberstack.com/privacy.

We do not use third-party advertising networks, social media tracking pixels, or retargeting services on thayne.app.

We do not control third-party cookies. While we carefully select our third-party providers, we are not responsible for the cookies they set. If you want to opt out of third-party cookies, you should contact those providers directly or use your browser settings as described in Section 6 of this policy.

06

How to manage cookies

You have several options for controlling cookies. Note that restricting cookies may affect the functionality of our website — in particular, blocking strictly necessary cookies will prevent you from logging in to your Thayne account.

Managing cookies in your browser

Most web browsers allow you to view, manage, delete, and block cookies through their settings. Here is how to do this in the most common browsers:

Google Chrome
Settings → Privacy and security → Cookies and other site data. You can block all cookies, block third-party cookies, or clear existing cookies.
Safari
Preferences → Privacy → Manage Website Data. You can block all cookies or remove cookies for specific sites.
Mozilla Firefox
Options → Privacy and Security → Cookies and Site Data. You can manage cookie exceptions and clear stored data.
Microsoft Edge
Settings → Cookies and site permissions → Manage and delete cookies and site data.
Opera
Settings → Advanced → Privacy and security → Site Settings → Cookies and site data.
iPhone / iPad (Safari)
Settings → Safari → Privacy and Security → Block All Cookies. Or Settings → Safari → Advanced → Website Data to remove specific cookies.

For guidance on other browsers, please refer to your browser's help documentation.

Opt-out tools

  • Google Analytics opt-out — if we introduce Google Analytics in future, you can install the Google Analytics Opt-out Browser Add-on to prevent your data from being collected by Google Analytics.
  • Your Online Choices — visit youronlinechoices.com to opt out of interest-based advertising from companies that participate in the IAB opt-out framework.
  • Network Advertising Initiative — visit optout.networkadvertising.org for additional opt-out options.

Do Not Track

Some browsers include a "Do Not Track" feature that signals to websites that you do not want your browsing activity tracked. There is currently no universal standard for how websites should respond to Do Not Track signals. We honour Do Not Track requests by limiting our use of cookies to strictly necessary functionality when such a signal is detected.

07

Similar technologies

In addition to cookies, we may use similar technologies to store and access information on your device. These include:

Local storage

Local storage is similar to cookies but can store larger amounts of data and does not expire when you close your browser. We may use local storage to remember your preferences within our application. Unlike cookies, local storage data is not sent to our servers automatically — it stays on your device unless you clear it.

Session storage

Session storage works like local storage but is cleared automatically when you close your browser tab. We may use session storage for temporary data that supports your current visit to our site.

Pixel tags and web beacons

We do not currently use pixel tags or web beacons. If we introduce these technologies in future, we will update this policy accordingly and, where required, request your consent.

Fingerprinting

We do not use device fingerprinting or any other technique designed to identify your device without using cookies or local storage.

08

Updates to this policy

We may update this Cookie Policy from time to time as our use of cookies changes or as regulatory requirements evolve. When we make material changes, we will update the effective date at the top of this page.

If we introduce new categories of cookies — particularly analytics or marketing cookies — we will update this policy before doing so and request your consent where required.

We encourage you to review this policy periodically to stay informed about how we use cookies.
